Maha Pooja -- Bhagavan's Mother Day
This Maha puja commemorates the mukti (Liberation)
of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi's mother, Alagamma.
At Skandasramam, in the room in which Bhagavan's mother attained Nirvana, Bhagavan sat with her for many hours, her head on his lap, his hands on her head and heart preparing her for nirvana. Bhagavan ensured that the Mother attained Nirvana.
It is observed every year according to the Hindu calendar corresponding to Vaishaka Bahula Navami.
